Summary
The beneficial effects of modified- and controlled atmospheres on tropical fruits are briefly described and current recommended controlled-atmosphere storage conditions for avocados, bananas, mangoes, pawpaws, pineapples, cherimoyas (Annona cherimola), custard apples (Annona squamosa), durians, litchis and rambutans are tabulated.
