MOISTURE FACTORS AND THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF CONCRETE.

Author(s) : STUCKES A. D., SIMPSON A.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE RESULTS OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY MEASUREMENTS AT SEVERAL MOISTURE CONTENTS ON TWO TYPES OF AERATED CONCRETE IN THE DENSITY RANGE 391 TO 892 KG/M3 AND FOUR TYPES OF LIGHTWEIGHT AGGREGATE CONCRETE IN THE DENSITY RANGE 1,144 TO 1,424 KG/M3, HAVE BEEN ANALYSED. IT IS SHOWN THAT EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS CAN BE REPRESENTED WITH REASONABLE ACCURACY BY A LINEAR RELATION-SHIP BETWEEN CONDUCTIVITY AND MOISTURE CONTENT.
