Summary
As a series of the multi-split-type system air conditioners, new systems have been developed which make it possible to shift a part of electric demand from day time to night time. This system is composed of newly developed multi-split-type air conditioners and thermal storage units. By means of supercooling refrigerants, this system permits leveling off of electric power consumption, reducing power consumption by 25% as compared to the conventional multi-split-type air conditioning systems.
