Multi-circuits in braze-welded plate heat exchangers.

Multi-circuito negli scambiatori a piastre saldobrasati.

Type of article: Article

Summary

Multicircuits are useful whenever independent circuits are necessary, either on the refrigerant or the water side. Examples of use are: i) two-stage cooling or heating of a refrigerant (evaporator with superheater or subcooler; condenser with desuperheater); ii) division of a component (evaporator) into two parallel circuits, with one or both being used depending on the capacity required; iii) two-circuit braze-welded plate heat exchanger (i.e. improved type of exchanger with two channels on refrigerant side and one on water side). The article emphasizes the advantages of type iii.
