Multi-effect complex compound/ammonia sorption machines.

Summary
A new type of complex-compound/ammonia refrigerator and heat pump with help of heat pipe heat exchangers are designed and tested. They can be applied in dual-use technologies with different energy sources. Five different experimental set-ups were tested using active carbon-fiber sorbent beds with and without metal chlorides as chemicals. A new prototype of refrigerator/dryer was designed; this device is described, it is nature friendly and functions without valves and moving parts. (See also IIR Bulletin 98-1, reference 98-0254.)
