Performance of sorption systems using new selective water sorbents.

Summary

New water sorption materials (so called selective water sorbents, SWSs) are proposed in the article for heat pumping and refrigeration application. After presentation of the results of the measured equilibrium curves and the specific heat of several SWSs, the thermodynamic performance, for their use in heat pump and refrigeration system, are calculated. In some case studies, results can be much better than for the zeolite-water pair.
