Summary
A new circulating process is presented for the production of refrigeration through low-boiling-point gases. An experimental plant is presented, in which the heat-exchanger-expander consists of a cone-shaped piston expander with heat exchangers built in to the sides of the pistons and cylinders. Neon makes it possible to attain temperatures around 40 K.
