Summary
An equation of state for liquid and vapour has been developed using the concept of molecular "core" volume and "void" volume. A newly developed repulsion term along with the conventional Lennard-Jones sixth power attraction term is used to calculate the internal energy. Ethane, propane and butanes are studied under high pressure in pipelines.
