Summary

A NEW METHOD FOR THE DESIGN OF A REFRIGERATION COMPRESSOR BEARING USING THE CALCULATION AND MEASUREMENT OF CRANKSHAFT MOTION OF THE BEARING IS PROPOSED TO REPLACE THE OLD STATIC LOADING METHOD WHICH HAS LARGE DISCREPANCIES UNDER PRACTICAL CONDITIONS. THIS METHOD DIFFERS FROM THAT PROPOSED BY FOREIGN AUTHORS IN THE SELECTION OF THE INCREMENT IN THE CRANKSHAFT'S ROTATIONAL ANGLE. THESE INCREMENTS, SELECTEDB H RTRAO EBERHARD, LANG, GLASER AND BASSLER, ALL LEAD TO ANOMALIES IN THE CALCULATION OF THE ORBIT OF THE BEARING AXLE CENTER. THE INCREMENTS SELECTED BY THE AUTHORS, HOWEVER, CAUSE NO DISTORTIONS IN THE ORBIT.
