New developments in air conditioning and refrigeration compressors.
Author(s) : MANE V. D.
Summary
Scroll compressors in air conditioning and refrigeration industry's largest design contributing to the progress of air conditioning industry. Several improvements in screw and centrifugal compressor technology have greatly benefited the user industry in terms of low power consumption per ton of refrigeration, reduced oil carryover, enhanced reliability and service life with maintenance costs. Computerized control and monitoring systems are developed for a battery of compressors running in series or parallel, to achieve automatic capacity control. Latest air-conditioning compressors are revamped to make them compatible with new ozone-friendly and eco-friendly refrigerants.
