New European approaches in air-conditioning.
Nouvelles approches européennes en matière de climatisation.
Author(s) : CORNETTE R.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The paper discusses common-sense methods that, thanks to current computing and materials capacities, have been "reborn". These include: 1) the interaction between "envelop" and energy-consumption patterns, which is especially strong in two areas: thermal inertia and the role of the facade; 2) static cooling of cooling ceilings, cooling beams and cooling slabs; 3) cooling by ground drilling; 4) absorption water cooling, with solar panels, among other methods; 5) desorption processes; 6) evaporative cooling outside; and 7) evaporative cooling and air improvement with plants and the return of natural ventilation.
