Summary

THE DEVELOPMENT OF A DISCHARGE AIR VOLUME CONTROL SYSTEM HAS HELPED TO IMPROVE SPACE HEATING BY CEILING-MOUNTED, SPLIT-TYPE HEAT PUMP AIR CONDITIONERS. THE AIR OUTLETS CAN DISCHARGE HORIZONTALLY AS WELL AS AT AN ANGLE OF 60 DEG. THE OUTLET AIR VOLUMES IN BOTH DIRECTIONS ARE CONTROLLED BY A MICROPROCESSOR-MONITORED MOVABLE VANE WITHOUT CHANGING THE AIR DIRECTIONS.
