New thermo-chemical transformer processes that include multi-salt reactors with the use of heat fronts.

Nouveaux procédés de transformateur thermochimique incluant la mise en oeuvre de réacteurs multisels et utilisant des fronts de chaleur.

Summary

The study of the multi-salt process is part of the research on new thermodynamic cycles, with a view to improving the performance of thermo-chemical transformers. Several reactive salts placed in series in the same reactor lead to greater recovery of reaction heat than a single reactive medium. The COP is directly linked to the number of reactive media involved and the thermal efficiency of the exchanger reactor. The use of heat fronts in the heat-exchanging fluid medium permits efficiencies of around 1, which makes high COPs more likely.
