THE AUTHORS PRESENT TEST RESULTS FOR HEAT TRANSFER IN HEATING/COOLING AND ASSOCIATEDPRESSURE DROPS OBTAINED ON TWO NEWTONIAN VISCOUS FLUIDS IN LAMINARY FLOW. THESE FLUIDS (AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF GLYCEROL AND LUBRICATING OIL) WERE SELECTED FOR THEIR HIGHLY TEMPERATURE DEPENDENT VISCOSITY. AN ORIGINAL CORRELATION OBTAINED FOR THE FRICTION FACTOR IS GIVEN, CONFIRMING THE SIGNIFICANCE OF HEAT TRANSFER ON PRESSURE DROP IN DUCTS.
