Nitrogen-used technologies in oil production industry and problems of nitrogen supply of oil-gas-fields.
Author(s) : GRESIN A. K., MOVCHAN E. P., POPOV L. V.
Summary
At present, one of the ways of technical rearmament in the oil-gas production industry both in the world and in Russia is introduction of nitrogen-used processes. Inert gas nitrogen actively takes place of compressed air (that is dangerous because of its oxygen content) practically in all auxiliary production processes in well sinking and start: use of low density cement solutions, foamed by nitrogen; nitrogen pumping for washable solutions replacement and drying, purge and pressure test, nitrogen drilling, well regeneration and so on. Different ways of producing nitrogen or mixtures containing mainly nitrogen are explored.
