Summary

Having presented the different types of pumps used in buildings, the problem of acoustic radiation on site, encountered by the manufacturer, is briefly outlined. The main sources of noise and vibrations of an electrically driven pump are described, together with the corresponding test means implemented by Salmson. The example of an experimental investigation is summarized.
