Noise reduction in air-conditioning networks.
Traitement acoustique des réseaux aérauliques.

Type of article: Article
Summary
Noise level, which is an important comfort parameter, can be improved in air-conditioning networks. The linear attenuation of ducts and bends can be calculated. The noise regenerated in a network, as a function of turbulences, is mainly due to design strategies. The auditory pressure level can also be calculated. Other acoustic phenomena are noted. Computers make the calculations easier as far as noise reduction and comfort conditions are concerned. J.L.
