Summary

Applying numerical methods to the thermal analysis of buildings is difficult, since the values of some basic parameters, like, for instance, the heat transfer external coefficients, the diffused radiation from the sky and the emissivities of the external surfaces are not known. The paper reports on an investigation on the optimal choice of different correlations for predicting the above-mentioned parameters. The numerical model is described in detail and refers to a house room with an external glass wall. The calibration of the model was obtained by comparison with experimental indoor temperature profiles. E.F.
