Summary

A typical 11-floor building, with 3 car parks on underground floors, about 4,800 m2 floor area and about 15,700 m3 to be air conditioned. The construction parameters, thermal coefficients, protection against insolation, control of passive or active air motion, and air heating and cooling means are presented. The control system as a whole is designed for an unsteady occupation, with a power cut-off device for unoccupied periods. It was designed together with EDF, the CSTB and two private engineering offices. Y.G.
