Oil circulation ratio measurement in CO2 cycle.

Author(s) : HWANG Y., CREMASCHI L., RADERMACHER R., et al.

Summary

In the study, a capacitance sensor method was investigated as a method to measure the oil circulation ratio. The test facility equipped with the capacitance sensor was developed to measure the capacitance of the CO2/oil mixture. The study established a method of measuring the oil circulation ratio continuously in the transcritical CO2 cycle without affecting performance. This method enables the investigation of the effect of the oil circulation ratio on the performance of the CO2 system and the characteristics of oil circulation behaviour in the transcritical CO2 cycle.
