WITH THE CONSIDERATION OF THE LAMINAR FREE CONVECTION CAUSED BY THE DIFFERENCE OF DENSITY IN THE MASS-DIFFUSION LAYER NEAR A LIQUID FILM, THE CONDENSATION PROCESS OFR12 WHICH CONTAINS NON-CONDENSATION GASES OVER AN ELLIPTICAL CYLINDER SURFACE HAS BEEN STUDIED. THE FLOW AND HEAT TRANSFER OF A LIQUID FILM ARE CONNECTED WITH HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN THE MASS-DIFFUSION LAYER, AND THE COEFFICIENTS OF CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER AND MASS TRANSFER ARE CALCULATED.
