Summary

In this research, we conducted numerical simulations of 90-degree bend and T-junction between Reynolds numbers 100,000~10,000,000 to get the minor(or dynamic) loss coefficients for the purpose of simplifying the threedimensional CFD to one-dimensional analysis, branching the main pipe into the branch pipe of tees with parameters of varying area and flow rate ratio. As the ratio of flow rate changes, inflection points are found in the distribution of minor losses in both separated and jetted flow. Finally, a simple one-dimensional problem was solved using a commercial 1-D Solver based on minor losses computed from the results of 3-D Solver, and also verified with the acceptable calculation results.
