Prediction of mixture properties using modern thermodynamic models.
Author(s) : GMEHLING J.
Summary
Knowledge of thermophysical properties (phase equilibria, enthalpies, etc.) of mixtures is important for many applications. In the last 25 years different suitable thermodynamic models for non-electrolyte systems have been developed. The present status, advantages and disadvantages, weaknesses and range of applicability for the different applications are discussed and typical results will be presented. Furthermore, the importance of an extensive data base for fitting reliable model parameters simultaneously to different thermodynamic properties is demonstrated.
