ON THE USE OF ELECTRIC ENERGY TO POWER THE REFRIGERATION PLANT OF REFRIGERATED RAILWAY WAGONS.

Author(s) : MARX W.

Summary

THE AUTHOR INDICATES SEVERAL POSSIBILITIES OF INTERACTION BETWEEN A SOLAR GENERATOR AND THE REFRIGERATING EQUIPMENT. THEORETICAL CALCULATIONS SHOW THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO TRANSPORT CHILLED PRODUCTS WHICH DO NOT PRODUCE RESPIRATORY HEAT BY USING CURRENT TECHNOLOGY. ELECTROCHEMICAL ACCUMULATORS CANNOT ALWAYS BE USED FOR TEMPERATURE STABILIZATION IN WAGONS BECAUSE THE REFRIGERATING EQUIPMENT OPERATES MOST OF THE TIME.
