Summary
The authors establish the dynamic calculation models for energy charging and discharging process of the variable mass energy transformation and storage (VMETS) system. They analyse the characteristics of energy charging and discharging of the system using LiBr solution as the working fluid in an office building in Shanghai. The calculated results show that the VMETS system has high COP (4.8) and large energy storage intensity (413.81 MJ/m3).
