SUPERFLUID HELIUM HAS ALREADY BEEN UTILIZED IN ZERO GRAVITY COOLING SYSTEMS AND, BECAUSE OF ITS MANY ADVANTAGES, IT WILL BE USED IN FUTURE SPACE FLIGHT SYSTEMS. THE PAPER REVIEWS THE OPERATION OF THE PHASE SEPARATORS REQUIRED FOR OPERATION OF THE DEWAR SYSTEM AND DEVELOPS SYSTEM CONSIDERATIONS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR THE DESIGN OF A SUCCESSFUL SYSTEM. BOTH THE POROUS PLUG AND ACTIVE PHASE SEPARATOR ARE CONSIDERED.
