BY SYSTEMATICALLY STUDYING THE EFFECT OF FROSTING RATE, FROST DENSITY, HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT AND THE DEFROST HEAT FLUX, THE OPTIMUM TIME FOR THE INITIATION OF DEFROST CAN BE CALCULATED.
