Optimal wall's temperature distribution in internal forced convection.

Summary

Using as example the internal forced convection between a fluid and cylindrical shell, this paper tries to emphasize the influence of wall's temperature distribution on irreversibilities and to find the optimal temperature distribution of wall that minimizes the entropy generation rate. On the other hand, if this wall's temperature distribution exists, then the process of heat exchange using it represents the most economical process from the point of view of energy dissipation in internal forced convection through a duct.
