Summary
The degradation coefficient (CD) has great influence on the SEER of air conditioning based on the ARI standard. Principles of how CD affects SEER are analyzed from the definition. Ways for optimizing the value of CD of air-conditioning during operation are given. The practicability of these ways for reducing the value of CD and improving the SEER is proved through experiment on unitary air conditioning unit. The value of CD will be more than 50% decreased with these ways contrast to the original air-conditioning system. The economical efficiency of air-conditioning with optimized CD is discussed. The research is valuable for development of new energy-saving products.
