Summary

THE ARTICLE DEALS WITH THE LATEST FINDING IN APPLYING HEAT EXCHANGERS ACCORDING TO THE THERMOSIPHON PRINCIPLE. THE FLOW-THERMIC PARAMETERS OF THERMOSIPHON HEAT RECUPERATORS (EFFICIENCY, HEAT CAPACITY, AIR-SIDE PRESSURE DROP) WERE ANALYZED WITH WASTE AIR HEAT BEING USED. THE FLOW-THERMIC AND THERMAL ANALYSIS IDENTIFIES THE VALUES IMPORTANT FOR SELECTING A THERMOSIPHON RECUPERATOR. OPTIMIZATION IN ENERGY SAVING SYSTEMS MAKES POSSIBLE MAXIMAL EFFICIENCY OF THESE DEVICES. OPTIMIZATION OF THE THERMAL PERFORMANCE SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED SEPARATELY FROM TECHNO-ECONOMIC OPTIMIZATION.
