Over-ventilation and solar protections to cool a commercial building.
Surventilation et protections solaires pour rafraîchir un bâtiment tertiaire.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Within the framework of a restoration operation in Valenciennes, an over-ventilation system was stipulated to cool office buildings, as an alternative to air conditioning. Comfort in summer is ensured by associating this technique with solar protections. On the site, a warehouse is also cooled using nocturnal ventilation, with a chimney with solar draught, but this time additional air conditioning was necessary.
