Summary
Natural ventilation of buildings in warm and windless summer nights is a challenging task for any designer requiring knowledge of the quantitative performance of the tool used. The paper develops a method dealing with the calculation of air exchange rates of naturally ventilated spaces that a solar chimney could provide during summer nights. Thus, a vertical and massive solar chimney is studied and described.
