Packed beds in cross-flow operation.
Füllkörperschüttungen im Kreuzstrombetrieb.
Author(s) : BIEL S., STEIMLE F.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Mass transfer systems which work in crossflow operation are nowadays used for humidification, gas cleaning and as open cooling towers. Knowledge of fluid dynamics is a key criterion in order to realize reliable design of those apparatus. This article explains the details which have to be considered in this field.
