Parametric study and energy balances of an office building in Tunis with eQuest software

Author(s) : KATEB T., ZIED GANNAR M.

Summary

An office building, located in Tunis, consisting of a five-story U-shaped block with a basement, has been studied to assess their energy consumption. This building has been modeled and simulated thermally using dynamic simulation software eQUEST. A parametric study of the thermo-physical characteristics of the building envelope was conducted to estimate the building's energy consumption in winter and summer. The analysis of the need for heating and cooling of the building according to the constituents of the envelope, and the choice of the necessary energy systems has helped to reduce and optimize energy needs and make meeting the quoted performance and prescriptive requirements Tunisian thermal regulation in the area of buildings.
