Part load performance of multi-connected air-conditioning (heat pump) system with single outdoor unit.

Author(s) : SHI W., ZHAO W., WANG B.

Summary

Based on a mathematical model of the complex refrigeration system, the part load performance of the multi-connected air-conditioning (MCAC) system with single outdoor unit is investigated. A new index, Unevenness Index (UI), is brought forward to describe the working situation of the indoor units along with the system load ratio (LR). So the part load performance of MCAC should be a function of the outdoor temperature, t(out), system load ratio, LR, and load unevenness index UI. Use the thermodynamic model and the general part load performance, include heating capacity, cooling capacity, EER, and COP, of a MCAC with 4 indoor units is simulated and analyzed. As a result, the performance domain of this MCAC is obtained and compared with the experimental results.
