Performance analysis of a new ice slurry production system in conjunction with liquid dehumidification.

Author(s) : LI X., ZHANG X.

Summary

Ice has been widely utilized in many fields and there are variety of methods used to produce ice, however, many of them always rely too much on consuming electric power with a poor performance. To improve that situation, the authors propose a new kind of ice-slurry producing system - an evaporating freezing system combined with liquid-dehumidifying, and the system consists of three parts known as the precooling part, the liquid-dehumidifying part and the evaporation-freezing part. Carrying out the simulated calculation, we study the heat and mass transfer of the ice slurry formed by evaporation freezing. Furthermore, they analyze the performance of this system and conduct calculation within a certain value range of some parameters. The result of simulation goes well with the consequence from the reference the authors presented in this paper. And, it could be concluded that this system has a comparatively high performance through analysis.
