Summary

Most existed ejector models focus on ejector design condition. Predicting the on-design and off-design performance of the ejector is a necessary and meaningful work due to changeable environment parameters. This paper presents a new model for predicting the performance of ejector mainly using the real fluid properties. For subcritical mode, the model is derived with the unconstant-pressure mixing assumption, which means that the pressure in the mixing process is unconstant; for critical mode, the critical entrainment ratio is derived on the basis of the hypothetical throat theory. The calculated data are compared and validated with the published experimental values. Then, the influence of working parameters on the performance of system is studied by using the model.
