Summary

In order to analyse the performance characteristics of oil-free scroll compressor with constant thickness, the detailed mathematical modeling is developed based on the first law of thermodynamics, the conservation of mass and the equation of state. The mathematical modeling takes into account the heat of suction, flank and radial leakage, heat transfer of working fluid, scroll tooth and scroll wrap. The change of working chamber volume is obtained based on the circle involute equation. The temperature, pressure and mass in the whole working process are obtained by solving the established mathematical modeling using Euler method. In this paper, oil-free scroll compressor with a displacement of 0.6m3/min is used to test the performance. The simulated power and displacement are compared with the experimental data. The change of temperature, displacement, voltage and current with the crankshaft speed under different discharge pressure conditions are tested respectively. The developed mathematical modeling has certain guidance and reference function for the development and performance optimization of scroll compressor.
