Dynamics analysis on oil-free hermetic refrigeration scroll compressor.

Author(s) : WANG L., YANG Y. Q., LI Z. Y., et al.

Summary

An oil-free hermetic refrigeration scroll compressor was developed for a refrigeration system which oil was removed from and proven to work reliably without oil. Dynamics analysis was conducted on it theoretically. Radial, tangential and axial gas forces as a function of orbiting angle acting on the top profile which was modified with two symmetric arc curves were computed precisely by numerical and analytical methods. The interaction between the orbiting scroll and ball coupling which was used to restrict the orbiting scroll self-rotation was equivalent to a force and moment. The force and moment balance equations were set up for both the orbiting scroll and slider block which acted as radial compliance mechanism. Flank contacting (sealing) forces was introduced to judge whether the orbiting scroll contacts with the fixed scroll in radial direction.
