Performance and exergy evaluation of an advanced adsorption refrigeration cycle using intermediate cascading.

Summary

This study deals with the utilization of intermediate cascading in an advanced three-stage adsorption chiller in order to improve cycle performances by minimizing irreversible heat losses. Cycle performances in terms of cooling capacity and COP were measured by conducting experiments on a prototype. Experimental cycle performance results with using intermediate cascading and without using cascading (parallel flow type) are compared.
