Performance of a closed type fountain effect pump.
Author(s) : OKAMURA T., MATSUDA M., KABASHIMA S.
Summary
Operational characteristics of helium 2 loop flow driven by a fountain effect pump under steady state condition have been experimentally investigated for different thermal and flow impedances. It is confirmed that an appropriate length of vortex tube, which restricts the heat leak flowing downstream of the pump, is required to utilize the supplied heat and to drive the pump effectively.
