Performance of a hybrid ground-coupled heat pump system.

Summary

The hybrid system uses both a ground-coupled heat exchanger and a cooling tower, thereby reducing the amount of ground-coupling heat exchanger necessary. The paper describes a project that has been undertaken to collect performance data from a hybrid ground-coupled heat pump system at Fort Polk, La. The paper presents performance data for a period of about 22 months, including data from portions of two heating and cooling seasons.
