Performance of a solar engine driven air conditioning system.

Summary
States that the utilisation of a solar-powered low-temperature Rankine cycle to operate a conventional mechanical compression air conditioning cycle is feasible in providing a cooling load. Uses an endoreversible system approach for the analysis of the performance of such a solar heat engine driven air conditioning system. The only irreversibilities are heat transfer due to finite temperature differences between the system and the three surrounding heat reservoirs. States the analysis and results of the endoreversible model provide a much more realistic performance and economic prediction than does the traditional complete reversible model analysis.
