Summary

Performance of thermoelectric materials is evaluated by the figure of merit, ZT. ZT is interrelated to thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient. All the parameters of these materials at 110-280 K and electric output and resistance of thermoelectric device which is made of these materials at low temperature were studied experimentally. Based on these experiments, the relation between these parameters and temperature were expressed. The conclusions indicate that this thermoelectric material is unsuitable for power generation at low temperature, and only an improvement of production technology or the development of a new production method can improve the electrical power generation performance at low temperature.
