Summary
A gas-driven heat pump with 140-kilowatt thermal output and a binary mixture for recovery of waste heat was tested. Non-azeotropic refrigerant mixtures R22 and R142b were used. Performance of heat pumps for cooling and heating modes at each different mixture ratios are discussed, along with evaporator and condenser features.
