Summary

IT IS DEMONSTRATED THEORETICALLY AND EXPERIMENTALLY THAT THE PHONONS PRODUCED IN A SUPERCONDUCTOR BY AN INTENSE LASER BEAM WITH A BROAD QUASIPARTICLE SOURCE EXCITE IN AN ACOUSTICALLY COUPLED SUPERCONDUCTOR A NONEQUILIBRIUM STATE WHICH IS SENSITIVE TO THE SHAPE OF THE PHONON SPECTRUM. THE CONDITIONS FOR DIFFUSIONAL UNSTABILITY ARE CREATED IN THE PHONON-IRRADIATED SUPERCONDUCTOR.
