Physical and chemical adsorption as a new trend in obtaining refrigeration effect.

Author(s) : ZAJACZKOWSKI B., KRÓLICKI Z., BIALKO B., et al.

Summary

In this paper the most important aspects of solid-sorption refrigeration methods are described using examples based on theoretical and experimental research done in the Institute of Power Engineering and Fluid Mechanics at Wroclaw University of Technology. Two experimental installations are described (operating physical and chemical adsorption). Important issues concerning mathematical modelling and construction of experimental devices has been mentioned, as well as the experimental results of the processes. Based on those experiences, as well as the results and conclusions of other authors, physical and chemical solid-sorption refrigeration systems has been characterized.
