Summary

This is the second part of papers dealing with simple methods of heat transfer calculations in liquid—liquid plate heat exchangers, plate evaporators, plate condensers and gas – gas cross-flow plate heat exchangers. Calculation examples are included. The first part has been published in TCHK, Nr 4/2010. The second part deals with calculation methods for plate evaporators, condensers and gas-to-gas heat exchangers used in heat recovery systems. Methods of heat transfer area calculation for demanded heat capacity are described and positively verified with the use of computer code for heat exchangers selection by Sondex.
