Summary
This is the third part of papers dealing with simple methods of heat transfer calculations in liquid—liquid plate heat exchangers, plate evaporators, plate condensers and gas – gas cross-flow plate heat exchangers. Calculation examples are included. The second part has been published in 'TCHK" nr 6-7/2010 and dealt with calculation methods for plate evaporators, condenser and gas-to-gas heat exchangers used in heat recovery systems. Methods of heat transfer area calculation for demanded heat capacity have been described and positively verified with the use of computer code for heat exchangers selection by Sondex. The third part of papers deals with calculation methods for heat exchangers working with slurry ice. Here calculation examples are included as well.
