THE STRATEGIC ROLE OF DISTRIBUTION PLATFORMS IS UNDERLINED. THEY ARE BECOMING MORE AND MORE NUMEROUS IN FRANCE AND HAVE SPREAD TO SEVERAL EUROPEAN COUNTRIES. THE REFRIGERATED-TRANSPORT COMPANIES ARE ADAPTING THEMSELVES. IN FRANCE, ONLY 10% OF THE PHYSICAL FLOWS BETWEEN INDUSTRIALISTS AND DISTRIBUTORS ARE SUB-CONTRACTED. HENCE, THERE ARE PROMISING PROSPECTS. THE ROLE OF DATA PROCESSING IS BECOMING CRUCIAL. J.L.
